Elaine Kehew

Acrylic Paintings

Elaine Kehew’s paintings turn everyday plants into bold, graphic portraits that feel both joyful and intentional. Working under the moniker “Poppi Lane” the artist employs flat planes of color with crisp white lines, she simplifies leaves, stems, and flowers into clean, pattern-driven forms that sit somewhere between nature and design. Her work is inspired by a lifelong familiarity with plants—from greenhouses to flower shows—but instead of depicting them realistically, she treats them as objects we arrange, stylize, and even “package” for display. The result is a body of work that is bright, approachable, and visually satisfying, while quietly inviting viewers to consider how something as natural as a plant can become part of a curated, decorative world.
