Abstract painting and high def video

The dialogue that happens when I create a painting or video allows me to have a conversation between things I know and things I don’t. What I say or express is only half of the picture. The other half, sitting, looking and contemplating what I’m seeing is what interests me and says more about who I am as a human being. This has been a good year for me as an artist, being awarded a Professional Artist Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond and participating in the 15 annual idiomARTE Madre Tierra Festival in Cuenca, Ecuador.
