Everyone needs to express themselves—I have found my creative outlets in cooking, gardening, and glass. As a gardener and a glass artist, I love to play with the elements of color, texture, shape, and three-dimensional depth to take an idea in my head and turn it into an artistic creation. The challenge of doing so is tremendously rewarding in making fused glass, and the more I experiment with different types of plant material in my works, the more I technically grow as a glass artist. And that in turn, lets my artistic imagination grow and come up with ever new possibilities to try.
