Zhenya discovered her love of art in Russia, where she studied at the Voronezh Art School before moving to the United States to pursue a Fine Arts degree at Kansas State University. Her early work, raw and minimal, reflected memory and childhood, while her more recent paintings created in Arlington and Washington, D.C., and deeply influenced by motherhood, burst with energy: colourful, chaotic, yet harmonious. She has exhibited widely, led community projects, and created live performances in collaboration with musicians and fellow artists.
