I paint the natural world. I seek to capture dappled light on a road, long shadows of trees in the afternoon, and variations of colors in rocks and leaves. I am fascinated by how organic shapes relate to one another and can become abstracted into something that stays true to a landscape yet intrigues the viewer. I am constantly experimenting with different color palettes and formats to depict how I perceive the landscape in all its forms.
