Painting and Sculpture
The natural world reflects our experience of being human. Through movement, pattern, disruption, dormancy, and regrowth, we see our inner selves and our interdependence on one another. I create paintings and mixed media reliefs that explore the connection between plant life and humanity. Im interested in how our eyes detect pattern in the midst of irregularity. My experience as a mother and breast cancer survivor draws me to the more delicate forms in nature and to how, like us, they gather, thrive, and regenerate.
