Cynthia describes herself as an "Act 5" artist. She retired from Federal Service, established a small business for a few years and then in 2015 she followed her own advice, and began pursuing and refining her artistic yearnings by developing skills in abstract art. She opened her studio in 2020.
Cynthia's work demonstrates themes drawn from nature, or personal interpretations from life either past or fantasy. Her work often has a whimsical nature in look or in title.
